Suntrust bank has frozen my accounts. I am a professional tax preparer who have prepared a few family members and friends returns and had their refund deposited into my account upon their request so I can receive my fee and also so they can receive their refund faster. Since Suntrust has ran into tax fraud I was advised from a Suntrust financial advisor rep. to open a business account to conduct my business. I did as such but a few days later I was out using my debit card and was told from the cashier that my card was unauthorized. I called Suntrust customer service to find out that my account is frozen. The next day I go to my local branch only to be told they have no idea of whats going on but when I was at home later that day. I received a call from a Suntrust branch manager from the location in Southhaven questioning about a lady by the name of Traneka Conley refund iao of $377.XX was deposited into my account. I explained to the rep. that I don't know of this woman and that it must have been a mistake somewhere but if that happen please just debit her funds out my account. Being a tax preparer I am competent to know that IRS refunds can be traced. So why would I bank money and also make deposits if I involved in fraudulent activity.It is going on 3weeks and I am being held liable for someone else mistake and not having access to my account and not able to disburse 2 of my 4 clients their refund. I explained to my local branch that I can help with the investigation and bring each of my clients to the branch along with their IDs and SSN to show I have complete authorization to complete their returns and the refund deposited into my account.Suntrust has not given me any information and has been very rude to me. I have banked with Suntrust off and on for the past 7yrs and I have never been involve with any fraudulent activity.This bank is so unprofessional and incompetent and I have no idea why they are still in business.
